Italy through the guides of Artuscany is a must for anyone wanting to experience Tuscany! It truly was a life changing experience for me. What a simply beautiful mix of art, beauty, food and history.

The security of having transportation arranged for the entire visit took the hassle out of logistics. The accommodations at the Villa were exquisite with private, modern bathrooms and fresh linens. 5 course Italian meals every evening and wonderful Italian coffee and biscuits in the morning, made it a true vacation.

There is nothing that can replace standing in a grove of olive trees, and grapevines painting the valley below of Cortona, with art instructors helping guide you. Every day was a new experience, a new location to paint of the beauty of Italy. Art critiques in the art studio below in the villa were most helpful.

All of this was wonderful enough, but to also have such personalities like Giuseppe and Diane to be our personal guides made every minute a joy. What wonderful, personable friends they are, with every need catered to. I had developed stomach problems for the first few days and Giuseppe made sure he found a pharmacy and purchased some medicine for me. What a sensitive, caring person he is!

I also experienced my 53 birthday while in Italy. What a treat! I was surprised at the end of the day with a real Italian celebration! A full musical group singing Happy Birthday in Italian complete with birthday cake, strobe lights, a toast of champagne, and a birthday dance with Giuseppe. The entire group joined in, and we all sang and danced late into the night.

The totality of these experiences made it extraordinary. It was a life experience that warms the heart and stays with you always, I can't say enough.

Taking a painting workshop in Tuscany was a thrill by itself, but Artuscany’s Diane Wheeler and Giuseppe Rossi’s attention to every detail of our trip made the experience exceptional. They got us where we needed to be, provided information about the area along with bits of local history, suggested restaurants for lunch, found restrooms when needed, and answered our daily barrage of questions such as “where can I buy a phone card” or “what is a good local wine?” In short, this charming duo made the difficulties of travel in a foreign country go away! Furthermore, they are delightful people with whom I hope to maintain a life-long friendship.

"My experience with Artuscany was absolutely trememdous. Our indoor painting spaces were roomy and comfortable and the food and lodging was great and hosts very gracious. But the touring adventures through the glorious areas were delightfully fun and full of educational information. Our guides were entertaining and very knowledgeable about the area. They presented it with many historical facts and obvious love for that part of the world. I came away feeling as though I had opened up and made a giant leap forward as a person and as an artist. That was greatly due to our hosts at Artuscany. I can't recommend this experience enough."

Artuscany - We had an absolutely wonderful time while in Tuscany. The villa is so beautiful! The rooms are very nice, and the views are spectacular. "...dinner at the villa was like a party every night! Wonderful hospitality! Food and wine great! Entertainment outstanding!" Whenever we needed anything at all, there was someone there happy to help us. The studio was a perfect space for painting and hanging out. The energy there was so inspiring. We were glad when it finally rained so we could take a break from siteseeing to have some studio time. Diane and Giuseppe are the best tour guides. They made us feel welcome, safe and secure, and shared a lot about the history and culture of Tuscany. Through them, we could feel the "spirit" of Old Tuscany. It was a mountaintop trip, physically, artistically and spiritually, and I want to go back soon!!
